A real person, building tools restaurants can actually use.
Solacore isn’t a faceless platform or a venture-backed app. It’s a one-person studio, run by me — Andrew van Rooyen — from Southend-on-Sea.
I’m a maker. I’ve spent years building software that solves real, specific problems — tools for worship and music, scheduling and admin systems, apps for the things people around me actually needed. Solacore came out of the same instinct: independent restaurants were paying for a patchwork of website builders, booking services and menu apps that didn’t talk to each other, cost a fortune, and left them owning none of it.
So I built one platform that does the lot — website and bookings — set up and run for the restaurant, not handed over as yet another tool to learn. The kind of thing a busy owner can hand off and trust, knowing a real person is behind it.
Because it’s just me, the service is personal in a way a big company can’t match. I set your system up, I make the changes you ask for, and when something needs sorting you talk to me — not a ticket queue. That’s the whole point.
What you can count on
You talk to the person who builds it
No call centre, no support tickets vanishing into a queue. When you need something changed, you reach me directly.
Built for restaurants, not software people
The admin and the floor tablet are made to be used during a busy service — by people who have a restaurant to run, not a manual to read.
You own what you pay for
Your website, your domain, your data. If you ever leave, you take them with you. No lock-in, no hostage situations.
